Harrisonburg, Va. (March 18. 2018) - The Mount women's tennis team was blanked 7-0 by James Madison University on Sunday evening.
James Madison swept all three doubles flights to take the point advantage from doubles competition. Alexa Quintanilla and Hannah Davis were topped 6-1 in the first flight and Emma Blake and Megan Gamble were blanked 6-0 in the number three flight to finish off doubles action.
JMU swept singles action as well, in just two sets each, to secure the match victory. Elizabeth Norman recorded the 6-4, 6-3 win over Quintanilla in the number one flight to start off singles competition and Dylan Owens topped Blake 6-0, 6-0 in the sixth flight to close the match out. The Mountaineers fall to 1-10 on the year and the Dukes advance to 13-1.
The Mount returns home Wednesday, March 21 for a dual-match against Bucknell at 3:00 p.m.
