Harrisonberg, VA. (April 1, 2017) - Mateo DeSomocurcio won in the first flight of singles competition but Mount St. Mary's falls to James Madison University on Saturday afternoon.
The Dukes swept in doubles action to earn the early point advantage in the match.
DeSomocurcio won his fourth straight at the number one singles flight for the Mount's only point of the match. JMU went on to win the next five flights in singles action taking control of the match. Jean Armstrong forced a tie-breaker set in the sixth flight but dropped the decision to Tate Steinour.
