ABOUT THE MOUNT MEN
Mateo DeSomocurcio picked up another win in the first flight of singles competition but Mount St. Mary's was clipped by Wagner on Monday 4-3. Tonon/Wortkotter recorded a win in the third flight of doubles action but Wagner had already taken the one point advantage from doubles competition after the Seahawks won the first two flights. DeSomocurcio and Mast won the first two flights of singles action setting the tone for Mount but the Seahawks responded by winning the third and fourth flights. Landis gave the advantage back the Mountaineers by winning the fifth flight that tied the match at 3 points apiece. The sixth set came down to a tie-breaker set after Armstrong won the first set and Boyd won the second set. Boyd won the last set which gave Wagner the match victory by one point.
ABOUT THE MOUNT WOMEN
Quintanilla and Blake picked up wins in the first and last singles flights but Mount St. Mary's falls to Wagner 5-2 on Monday. Quintanilla/Kamprath recorded another doubles win in the first flight but Wagner took the point advantage from doubles action by winning the second and third flights. In the first flight of singles action, Quintanilla picked up another win for Mount and in the sixth flight Blake won in three sets that gave the Mountaineers their only two points of the match.
