Monroeville, Pa. (March 18, 2017) – Mount St. Mary's men's tennis edged by Niagara 4-3 on Saturday evening.
DeSomocurcio recorded the first win for Mount in the first flight of singles defeating Fuentes but the Mountaineers did not get another singles victory win until the sixth flight when Armstrong defeated Wellinger.
Mount St. Mary's picked up two wins in the second and third flights in doubles but it was not enough to win the match.
Monroeville, Pa. (March 19, 2017) – Mount St. Mary's men's tennis downed by Saint Francis Pa. 7-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Foo-Kune defeated DeSomocurcio in the first flight of singles action to jump ahead early followed by Luna defeated Mast giving a two point advantage to the Red Flash. Saint Francis went on to win the rest of the singles flights and swept all of the doubles flights as well.
Wortkotter and Armstrong picked up a set victory for the Mount to force a tie-breaker set in each of their flights but went on to lose each tie-breaker set in a hard fought match.
