Emmitsburg, Md. (April 3, 2016) – Mount St. Mary's University men's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision against Saint Francis U. in Northeast Conference play on Sunday from the Mount Tennis Courts.
Austin Blake and Mateo DeSomocurcio registered a 6-4 victory at the top flight of doubles, but Louis Tonon and Brandon Wortkotter fell by a 6-4 margin at No. 2 and Peter Landis and Darren Mast dropped a 6-3 decision at No. 3.
In singles action, Blake fell 3-6, 7-6(4), 1-0(5) at No. 1, DeSomocurcio lost 6-2, 7-5 at the second flight, Tonon fell 7-5, 1-6, 1-0(9) at No. 3, Mast was edged, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 4, Wortkotter was topped by a 6-3, 6-2 margin at No. 5 and Landis fell 6-1, 7-5 at the sixth flight.
The Mount hosts Loyola this Wednesday, April 6, with action beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Emmitsburg.
