Emmitsburg, Md. (April 1, 2016) -- Mount St. Mary's University men's tennis registered a 7-0 sweep of Lafayette on Friday afternoon at the Mount Tennis Courts.

Austin Blake posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the top flight of singles, and Mateo DeSomocurcio followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2, Louis Tonon won 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 3, Darren Mast earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4, Brandon Wortkotter won 6-4, 6-2 at the fifth flight and Peter Landis registered a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 6.

In doubles play, Blake and DeSomocurcio posted a 6-2 win at the top flight, Tonon and Wortkotter won 6-4 at No. 2 and Mast and Landis collected a 6-2 victory at No. 3.

The Mount is back in action on Sunday, April 3 for matches with Saint Francis U. and UMES.
