UWLX FIRST OVERALL SELECTION
Mount St. Mary's Assistant Coach Katie Schwarzmann was selected first overall by the Baltimore Ride in the inaugural United Women's Lacrosse League (UWLX) draft on Wednesday night. The UWLX is the first professional women's lacrosse league in the world, beginning its first season this May.

Schwarzmann, a World Cup champion on the United Stated National Team, was a four-time All-American at Maryland, where she led the Terrapins to a 2010 NCAA National Championship along with title game appearances in 2011 and 2013.
