MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers are coming off a 16-9 loss at Longwood over the weekend. Molly Morris and Sammie Knapp combined for seven points, but the Lancers outscored the Mount by a 10-4 margin in the second half to come away with a 16-9 victory. Morris has registered seven goals and four assists in the last two games, including a career-high seven points (5g, 2a) against American last Wednesday, and now leads the team in all three scoring categories. Senior goalie Steph Rurkowski, an All-NEC First Team member in 2015, owns a .519 save percentage and 12.50 goals against average in four starts in the Mount cage. The Manlius, N.Y. native ranks first in the NEC in both save percentage and saves per game.

ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON: The Colonials are looking for their first win of the season, sitting at 0-4 after falling to Delaware, UMBC, Navy and Monmouth to open the campaign. Bailey Forcier tops the squad with five points (3g, 2a), and Michaela Lynch (3g, 1a) and Olivia Boudreau (4a) each have four. Goalie Adele Wise owns a .443 save percentage and 13.40 goals against average in three starts.

ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mountaineers and Colonials have faced off 14 times in series history with George Washington holding an 11-3 edge. Two of the three Mountaineer wins in the series have come on their home turf. Last season, the Colonials registered an 18-12 win in the matchup despite six goals combined from Lantuh and Knapp.

NEC PRESEASON POLL: Mount St. Mary's was picked to finish third in the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Two-time defending NEC Champion Bryant earned the top spot in the poll with five first-place votes, while last season's runner-up, Wagner, was picked second and claimed the remaining three first-place votes. Mount St. Mary's, Robert Morris, Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut, LIU Brooklyn and Saint Francis U rounded out the eight-team poll.
