MOUNT UPDATE: Junior Sammie Knapp scored with just one second remaining in overtime to lift the Mountaineers to their first win of the season as they topped Manhattan, 8-7, last time out. Knapp weaved her way to the top of the arc and fired a shot over goalkeeper Nikki Prestiano's right shoulder for the game-winning tally just before time expired. Knapp was also responsible for sending the game into overtime as she tallied the game-tying goal with 3:41 left in regulation. Nicole Lantuh and Molly Morris each registered three goals and two assists for a combined 10 points in the contest to pace the Mountaineer attack. Senior goalie Steph Rurkowski stopped eight shots to pick up her first win over the campaign.

ABOUT NIAGARA: The Purple Eagles improved to 2-4 on the year with a 9-8 victory over Cincinnati last time out. Prior to the win, Niagara had dropped four of its last five, falling to Binghamton (6-5 OT), Colgate (11-10 OT), Coastal Carolina (13-8) and No. 3 Florida (19-3). Caroline Crump is the team's leader in points, with 14 (7g, 7a), and Taylor Wolf tops the squad with 11 goals. Goalie Andrea Francisco has posted a .354 save percentage and 11.19 goals against average in six starts.

ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mountaineers and Purple Eagles will face each other for just the fourth time in series history on Friday, with the Mount owning a perfect 3-0 record. The two teams haven't met since 1998, when Mount St. Mary's posted an 18-10 victory at home.
