Chris Lindsey Claims Flight C Singles Championship on Final Day of Mount Invitational

Emmitsburg, Md. (October 9, 2016) – Sophomore Chris Lindsey claimed the Flight C singles championship to highlight the final day at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational for the Mount tennis team on Sunday in Emmitsburg.

Lindsey beat Loyola's John Ferrozzi in the finals, topping the Greyhound senior 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 to capture the Flight C championship.

In Flight B singles, Sean McNulty downed Jack Shortell, 6-2, 3-6, 11-9 and Brett Shriver, 6-2, 6-2, to win the consolation championship.

Zachary Burau reached the consolation finals of Flight A singles after topping Loyola's Blest Jones, 2-6, 6-1, 10-5, but fell in the finals by a 6-3, 6-0 margin to Howard's Brian Jones.
