MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount St. Mary's University women's lacrosse team entertains a pair of Northeast Conference foes this week beginning with a Friday showdown with Sacred Heart at Waldron Family Stadium at 4 p.m. Two days later, the Mountaineers will face another home test versus LIU Brooklyn for Senior Day. Four Mount players have scored 18 or more goals this season led by Kelly Maloney's 22. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Steph Rurkowski has racked up three double-digit save efforts this season including two last week.

SENIOR DAY: The Mount hosts LIU Brooklyn on Sunday, April 19, for the final home game of the season at Waldron Family Stadium at noon. Prior to the game, the Mount will honor Melissa Cox, Megan Gluck, Erin Seipp and Hayley Tomilson with a Senior Day ceremony.

LAST TIME OUT: Nicole Lantuh scored five goals to lead Mount St. Mary's to a 13-10 win over visiting Robert Morris on Sunday afternoon at Waldron Family Stadium. Trailing 4-1 just six minutes into the game, the Mount scored nine unanswered goals to close the half to take a 10-4 lead. Marley Heller, Jannel Daufenbach and Molly Morris tallied two goals apiece for the Mountaineers.

ABOUT SACRED HEART: The Pioneers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 6-5 home win over in-state rival Central Connecticut on April 12. Sacred Heart, which began NEC play with 11-10 losses to LIU Brooklyn and Bryant, has gone 1-3 in road games this season. The Pioneers are led in nearly every statistical category by Caitlin Delaney, who has posted team highs for goals (22), assists (9), ground balls (38) and caused turnovers (29).

LAST SEASON VS. THE PIONEERS: Playing the program's first double-overtime game since 2010, Kelly Maloney notched the game-winner with 51 seconds left in the second overtime period to give the Mount a 10-9 win at Sacred Heart last season. The Mount used a goal from Lindsay Diaz with eight seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 9-9 and force overtime.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. SACRED HEART: Mount St. Mary's is 15-5 in the all-time series versus Sacred Heart and is a perfect 9-0 against the Pioneers in games played in Emmitsburg, Md. The Mount has won five in a row in the series with SHU's last victory coming in 2010.

ABOUT LIU BROOKLYN: The Blackbirds, currently tied with the Mount for third place in the NEC standings, take on first-place Wagner on Friday before traveling to Emmitsburg for Sunday's contest. LIU Brooklyn players have earned a number of awards from the NEC this season, headlined by three-time NEC Offensive Player of the Week Jenn Peters. With 49 goals this season, Peters is running away with the scoring title with 12 more goals than Bryant's Emily Columbus in second place with 37.

LAST SEASON VS. LIU BROOKLYN: A career-high four goals from then-senior Mary MacAdam was not enough to lift the Mount to victory in last year's 12-8 loss at LIU Brooklyn. After falling behind 5-4 at halftime, the Mountaineers tied the score at 5-5 in the first minute of the second half. The Blackbirds answered with four of the next five goals to seize control and outscored the Mount by a 7-4 margin in the final 30 minutes.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. LIU BROOKLYN: Mount St. Mary's has gone 10-2 in the series versus LIU Brooklyn dating back to the first meeting in 2003. The Mount is 6-0 at home versus the Blackbirds and had won seven in a row overall in the series before last year's loss.

WEEKLY AWARD: Nicole Lantuh was named NEC Rookie of the Week on April 13 after compiling eight points in victories over Saint Francis U and Robert Morris. Lantuh put up one goal and two assists versus SFU on April 10 before netting a career-high five goals against Robert Morris. The five goals are tied for the second most by a Mount player this season.

IN A ROW: The Mountaineers have won back-to-back games for the first time since April of 2013 when the team won three in a row. If the Mount wins both games this week, it will mark the first four-game winning streak since 2011.

2-1 NEC START: The Mount is 2-1 through three NEC games this season. It is the 11th time in the last 12 years the Mount has been 2-1 or better after three games. Five times in the last 12 seasons the Mount has been 3-0 to begin NEC action, most recently accomplishing the feat in 2011.

NEC PRESEASON POLL: The Mount was selected fifth in the NEC Preseason Coaches Poll. Bryant, Wagner and Robert Morris finished 1-2-3 in the poll, followed by Central Connecticut and the Mount. Sacred Heart, LIU Brooklyn and Saint Francis U rounded out the poll.

UP NEXT: The Mount will conclude the regular season with road games at Central Connecticut on Friday, April 24, and at Bryant on Sunday, April 26.
