Emmitsburg, Md. (April 1, 2015) -- The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team picked up its third win in a row with a 7-0 decision over Coppin State on Wednesday at the Mount Tennis Courts.

The Mount (9-4) was able to keep its perfect home record intact at 5-0 with the victory over MEAC opponent Coppin State (1-7).

Competing at the No. 1 slot, Austin Blake (Garnet Valley, Pa.) and Brandon Wortkotter (Fort Myers, Fla.) improved to 13-2 on the year with an 8-3 victory over Coppin State's Reginald Robinson and Patrick Thomas. Sophomores Louis Tonon (Charlotte, N.C.) and Darren Mast (Lancaster, Pa.) earned an 8-0 win at the No. 2 slot, while the Eagles defaulted at No. 3 doubles.

Mateo DeSomocurcio (Lima, Peru) picked up his team-leading 15th singles victory and first at the No. 1 slot by scores of 6-2, 6-1 versus Thomas. Adam Salam (Wallingford, Pa.) also played his way to a straight set victory at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

In the other two singles matches that were played on Wednesday, Peter Salomon (Haymarket, Va.) and Wortkotter were straight-set winners at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

The Mountaineers return to action with a road test at Northeast Conference opponent Saint Francis U tomorrow.
