Orlando, Fla. (March 5, 2015) – The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Otterbein at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla. on Thursday.

The Mountaineers (5-2) improved to 3-1 on the team's current spring break trip in Florida with all three wins coming by final scores of 7-0. The Mount won two doubles matches to claim the point and went on to win all six of the singles matches on Thursday.

After falling for the first time as a pairing on Tuesday, the Mount's No. 2 doubles team of Austin Blake (Garnet Valley, Pa.) and Brandon Wortkotter (Fort Myers, Fla.) bounced back with an 8-1 victory to improve to 8-1. The Mount took the point with an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles courtesy of Mateo DeSomocurcio (Lima, Peru) and Louis Tonon (Charlotte, N.C.).

The Mount had the better of the singles action on Thursday with six straight-set victories.

On the day, DeSomocurcio became the first Mount player to reach double-digit singles wins this season with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No 2. Wortkotter also kept his perfect dual match record intact, moving to 5-0 thanks to a 6-1, 6-1 No. 6 singles win.

The Mountaineers will take on Detroit tomorrow to finish up action in Florida.
