GAME NOTES | LIVE STATS
MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse team opens a season-long four-game homestand with Sunday's tilt versus Duquesne. Looking to snap a three-game slide, the Mountaineers have gone 1-2 at home this season with one of the losses coming in overtime. Three Mount players have scored 10 or more goals this season, led by Kelly Maloney's 14.
LAST TIME OUT: Erin Seipp, Sammie Knapp and Nicole Lantuh all recorded hat tricks in the Mount's 18-12 road loss at George Washington on Tuesday. The Mountaineers jumped out to a 10-9 halftime lead but stumbled down the stretch as the Colonials outscored the Mount by a 9-2 margin in the closing 30 minutes.
ABOUT DUQUESNE: Carrying a 2-5 overall record, Duquesne looks to bounce back from Wednesday's 9-5 road defeat at Canisius. Both of the Dukes' wins this season are against Northeast Conference opponents with a 17-16 overtime victory over Robert Morris and a 19-2 shellacking of Saint Francis U to their credit. Clare Hurley is the leading scorer for Duquesne with 12 goals this season.
LAST TIME VS. DUQUESNE: Erin Seipp's hat trick was not enough as the Mount was overmatched by the Dukes in last March's meeting, falling by an 18-5 margin in Pittsburgh, Pa. Duquesne's Caitlin Prince scored all five of her goals in the first half to lead the offense. In goal for the Mount, Steph Rurkowski made nine saves. The Mountaineers were plagued by 21 turnovers on the day.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. THE DUKES: Mount St. Mary's has gone 2-3 versus Duquesne in the all-time series.  The two sides first met in the 1997 season opener when the Mount earned an 18-5 home victory over the Dukes. The Mountaineers again beat Duquesne in 1998, but have since lost three in a row in the series. Mount St. Mary's is 1-0 versus Duquesne in Emmitsburg and will be hosting the Dukes at Waldron Family Stadium for the first time on Sunday.
SEIPP CLOSING IN ON 100: With 13 points this season, senior Erin Seipp has upped her career total to 97 points. She has tallied 73 goals and 24 assists. Three more points would put Seipp in elite company as one of just 19 players in school history to reach 100 career points.
MOUNT AT WALDRON FAMILY STADIUM: Mount St. Mary's has posted a 33-32 all-time record at home at Waldron Family Stadium since it opened prior to the 2007 season. The Mount will play 10 games at Waldron Family Stadium this season, which is the most for the women's lacrosse program at the venue for a single season.
UP NEXT: The Mountaineers will hosts Lehigh at Waldron Family Stadium on Thursday, March 26, for a 4 p.m. start time.
