Mount Men's Tennis Prepares for Sunday's Home Match Versus Delaware

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis squad is set to take on CAA opponent Delaware on Sunday afternoon at the Mount Tennis Courts. The Mountaineers have alternated wins and losses in their last six matches and are coming off a loss on Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT: Sophomore Mateo DeSomocurcio earned his 12th singles victory of the season in the Mount's 6-1 loss at Bucknell on March 18. The Mount's No. 3 doubles combo of Louis Tonon and Darren Mast was also a winner, picking up an 8-7 (7-2) victory.

ABOUT DELAWARE: The Blue Hens, who will take on Lehigh on Saturday, are 0-10 on the season. Last time out, Delaware was handed a 6-1 road loss at Navy. Shane Jeffray, Matt Renzi and Colin Wong lead the way with three singles wins apiece, while Alex Sweet and Mike Furr have won a team-best five doubles matches.

LAST TIME VS. DELAWARE: The last time the two sides squared off was March 24, 2013 in Newark, Del. Due to limited court availability, the match consisted of one doubles match and four singles matches with Delaware coming away with a 3-2 victory. For the Mount, Mike Salomon secured a No. 3 singles win with Austin Blake adding a No. 4 singles victory.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. DELAWARE: The Mountaineers will look to improve on their 1-9 all-time record versus the Blue Hens. After winning the first Division-I meeting in 1991, the Mount has lost nine in a row to Delaware.

UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's will hosts St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, March 28.
