MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team will look to improve on its 5-4 overall record with a trip to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell on Wednesday. In singles play so far this season, Sruthi Kamprath, Danielle Nguyen, Cassandra Powell and Jennifer Smith have all won seven singles matches apiece. In doubles, the tandems of Kamprath/Powell and Nguyen/Erin Benefiel have both secured nine wins.
LAST TIME OUT: The last time the Mount was in action was March 1-6 for a spring break trip to Orlando, Fla. The Mountaineers posted a 2-3 record on the trip with wins over Augustana and Saint Benedict.
ABOUT BUCKNELL: Carrying a 2-9 overall record this season, Bucknell picked up both of its wins on a recent trip to Orlando, Fla., defeating Hampton and St. Cloud State. The Bison have gone 0-1 versus NEC opponents this season, falling by a 4-2 finals score to Saint Francis U on Feb. 20.
LAST TIME VS. BUCKNELL: In a day otherwise dominated by the Bison, then-senior Samantha Pinchoff earned a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 No. 1 singles victory in last year's meeting with Bucknell. The Bison won the three doubles matches and No. 2-6 singles on the day for a 6-1 victory at the Mount Tennis Courts.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. BUCKNELL: The Mountaineers' record versus Bucknell stands at 2-15 entering Wednesday. The Mount beat the Bison in 1993 and 1994 but have since dropped 15 in a row in the series. The two sides will be squaring off for the third season in a row.
UP NEXT: The Mountaineers welcome UMES to the Mount Tennis Courts for Saturday's match at 3 p.m.
