Orlando, Fla. (March 1, 2015) – The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team opened the spring break trip with a 7-0 loss to Presbyterian on Sunday evening.

The Mountaineers (3-2) dropped the three doubles matches to the Blue Hose (7-3) before falling in the six singles matches.

In doubles play, the Mount played close matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 slots. Sisters Kelly Smith (Davenport, Wash.) and Jennifer Smith (Davenport, Wash.) fell by an 8-5 score to Presbyterian's Greer Ransom and Demi Henschel at No. 1. The Mount's all-rookie tandem of Sruthi Kamprath (Sinking Spring, Pa.) and Cassandra Powell (Vienna, W. Va.) also lost by the same 8-5 margin in their No. 2 match against Brittany Nuttall and Claire-Mitchell Andrews.

The Mount returns to action tomorrow to face Augustana.
