October 16, 2015—The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's tennis teams continued their play at the ITA Regionals on Friday.  The men's regional is being hosted by Virginia Tech while the women's regional is hosted by Liberty.

For the men's team, the Mount's doubles team of Mateo DeSomocurcio and Austin Blake defeated Christian Lutschanig and David Kohan of Penn State, 8-6, in their first round match.  The Mount's Louis Tonon and Brandon Wortkotter fell in their match, 8-2, to Luca Contini and Edoardo Tessaro of Virginia Tech.

In singles play, DeSomocurcio lost his first round match, 6-3, 6-4, to Caleb Troy of Richmond.

For the women, Brittany Poje was downed by Maria Khval (Liberty), 6-2, 6-2, in her first round matchup. 

The tournaments continue tomorrow.
