Lewisburg, Pa. (September 6, 2014) – Sophomore Mateo DeSomocurcio picked up a pair of flight A singles victories to highlight the Mount men's tennis team's efforts on day two of the Bucknell Tournament on Saturday.

Following an opening round loss on Friday, DeSomocurcio bounced back on Saturday with wins in the consolation round. In his first match, DeSomocurcio defeated Bloomsburg's Tito Machado. The sophomore from Lima, Peru kept his strong play going in a come-from-behind 6-7, 7-5, (10-3) victory over Greg Olesnychy of Loyola to advance to the finals of the consolation bracket.

Also competing in the flight A singles round, senior Adam Salam took on Loyola's Harrison Kunkel. After falling in the first set, Salam responded with a 6-2 win in the second set and a 10-8 win in the tiebreaker to pick up the victory. Salam's day ended with a loss to Loyola's Reid Burch.

The Bucknell Tournament is set to conclude on Sunday.
