DAY ONE RESULTS

Lewisburg, Pa. (September 5, 2014) – The Mount men's tennis team kicked off the fall portion of its schedule with day one of the Bucknell Tournament on Friday evening. Sophomore Darren Mast won his singles match, while sophomore Louis Tonon teamed up with junior Peter Salomon for a doubles victory on Friday.

Mast, who tied for the team lead with 12 singles victories as a freshman last year, opened the year with a straight-set 6-3, 6-3 victory over Bloomsburg's Scott Langenbach in flight B action. The sophomore from Lancaster, Pa. advances to Saturday's quarterfinals with the victory.

In flight A doubles, Tonon and Salomon won their first match of the season, downing Loyola's Greg Olesnycky and Jordan Kutchta, 8-6. In the following match, the Mount's top doubles pairing fell to Maxwell Kane and Nick Bybel from Bucknell, 8-1.

Play continues on Saturday, Sept. 6, before wrapping up on Sunday, Sept. 7.
