Mount St. Mary's Women's Tennis Set for Bucknell Invitational

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount's fall season rolls along with this weekend's Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa. The tournament, which features four singles flights and two doubles flights, is the third event for the team this fall. Through two events, freshman Sruthi Kamprath has earned a singles victory, while Kamprath paired with fellow freshman Cassandra Powell for a doubles win. The Mount's No. 1 doubles duo of sisters Kelly Smith and Jennifer Smith also picked up an early doubles victory.

THE FIELD: Throughout the course of the weekend, the Mount will face individuals from Villanova, Bucknell and Bloomsburg.

THE SCHEDULE: On Friday, matches will get underway at 3 p.m. with two rounds of doubles, followed by one round of singles action. Play continues on Saturday with more singles and doubles matches beginning at 9:30 a.m. before wrapping up competition on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mount ran into tough competition on Sept. 12-14 at the Tiger Classic, facing the likes of Loyola, Saint Joseph's, Towson and George Washington.

LAST YEAR'S BUCKNELL INVITATIONAL: In last fall's Bucknell Invitational, Isabella Draper, Taylor D'Agostino, Liz Rossi and Kelly Smith all notched singles victories in the two-day tournament. The Mount also picked up doubles victories courtesy of Kelly Smith and Jennifer Smith, D'Agostino and Danielle Nguyen as well as the pairing of Rossi and Erin Benefiel.

UP NEXT: The Mount makes the hour drive to Shepherdstown, W. Va. to take on Division II Shepherd for the first dual match of the season on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m.
