Towson, Md. (September 12, 2014) – The Mount women's tennis team began play at the Tiger Classic on Friday afternoon at the Tiger Tennis Complex. The Mount took on individuals from Towson and George Washington on day one of the three-day tournament.

In singles play, sophomore Erin Benefiel won her first set versus Towson's Barbora Vasilkova, but lost in the second as well as the third set. Squaring off with Towson's Sophie Lesage, Mount senior Danielle Nguyen was also victorious in the opening set before falling in three sets.

Play at the Tiger Classic continues tomorrow with the Mount taking on Delaware at 11 a.m.
