MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount plays its final road non-conference game of the season on Sunday at Duquesne. The Mountaineers' leader with 10 goals on the season, senior Lindsay Diaz is tied for fourth in the Northeast Conference with four free position goals on the year. As a team, the Mount scores on 46.6 percent of its shots, which ranks second among NEC teams.  
LAST TIME OUT: The Mount lost to UMBC, 15-2, at Waldron Family Stadium on March 15. Mount goals were scored by Erin Seipp and Sammie Knapp. The Mount struggled in the first half, but responded with a stronger second half, outshooting the Retrievers by a 6-4 tally in the final 30 minutes.
ABOUT DUQUESNE: The Dukes picked up their sixth win of the season in a 12-11 overtime thriller over Canisius last time out on March 19. Junior Amanda Kidder, who leads Duquesne with 27 goals on the season, is tied for third in the nation with 4.17 goals per game. Duquesne is outscoring opponents by more than a 2-1 ratio with 106 goals to opponents' 52.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. DUQUESNE: The all-time series between the two programs is tied, 2-2. The Mount won the first two meetings in 1997 and 1998, but fell in games played during the 2001 and 2004 seasons. The Mount has scored 20 or more goals on 22 occasions in school history, including a 20-17 victory over the Dukes on April 14, 1998.
BALANCED SCORING: Through seven games, 11 different players have scored goals for Mount St. Mary's. Lindsay Diaz and Erin Seipp lead the offense with 10 and nine goals, respectively.
WINNING THE DRAW: The Mount has steadily improved this season in the area of winning more draw controls. In an 18-3 win over Delaware State, the Mount collected a season-high 14 draws. Through seven games, the Mount has four games with 10 or more draw controls to already match last season's total of four games in double digits.
FRESHMAN CLASS: This year's freshman class has made an immediate impact on the program. Kelly Maloney is tied for third on the team with seven goals and five caused turnovers, while Sammie Knapp has the third most draw controls on the team with 11. Defensively, Maddy Bandomer ranks fifth on the team with eight ground balls.
NEAR THE TOP: In games through March 16, sophomore goalkeeper Steph Rurkowski was tied for seventh in the nation among Division I goalies with 10.29 saves per game. Her 17 saves versus George Washington on March 12 are tied for the ninth most in a game this season.
UP NEXT: The Mount starts a three-game homestand beginning with the team's final non-conference game of the season at Waldron Family Stadium versus Columbia on Sunday, March 30, at noon.
