MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount is searching for its first win of the 2014 season with Saturday's game at Delaware State. On the offensive end, Lindsay Diaz and Erin Seipp have both scored two goals apiece with four of the Mount's goals coming on free position attempts through two games. Between the pipes, sophomore goalkeeper Steph Rurkowski has made 23 saves, including 16 in the season opener versus Johns Hopkins.

LAST TIME OUT: Erin Seipp became the first Mount player to score two goals in a game this season with a pair of tallies in a 10-4 loss at Lehigh on Feb. 22. The Mountaineers scored the first two goals of the game, but the Mountain Hawks scored 10 of the next 12 goals to pull away. Lindsay Diaz and Sammie Knapp also scored on the day, while goalkeeper Steph Rurkowski made seven saves for the Mount.

ABOUT DELAWARE STATE: Now in its second season playing women's lacrosse, Delaware State is 0-3 with early losses to Longwood, Presbyterian and Saint Joseph's. Emily Etkins leads the Hornets attack with seven goals. Seven different players have scored goals this season, with Sierra Harris facilitating the offense with a team-best four assists.

LAST TIME VERSUS DELAWARE STATE: In the Mount's 2013 home opener on March 4, the Mountaineers cruised to an 18-0 win for the program's first shutout since March 28, 2008. Lindsay Diaz sparked the offense with four goals and one assist in the Mount's highest offensive output of the season. Sam Sparr led the team with a career-high four ground balls as the Mount outshot the Hornets, 31-2.

ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mount is 1-0 versus Delaware State with last season being the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

STEPPING UP IN GOAL: Sophomore goalkeeper Steph Rurkowski leads the Northeast Conference with a .460 save percentage. On a national level, Rurkowski is tied for fifth in Division I with 11.5 saves per game.

WINNING EARLY: A win over Delaware State would give the Mount a victory in its first three games for the first time since the 2010 season.

UP NEXT: The Mount returns to Waldron Family Stadium to take on American on Wednesday, March 5, at 4 p.m.
