MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount men's tennis team escapes the cold winter with a trip to the Orlando area to play five matches in six days Feb. 23-28. The Mountaineers are 1-1 so far in the spring after putting together a 2-1 mark in the fall season. No. 2 singles player Peter Salomon leads the Mount with five singles wins on the year.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mount suffered a 7-0 loss to defending Patriot League Champion Lehigh on Feb. 16. Darren Mast and Mateo DeSomocurcio were leading at No. 3 doubles, 5-3, in a match that went unfinished. In singles, DeSomocurcio (No. 3) and Mast (No. 5) both took their opponents to third-set tiebreakers before falling two sets to one.

ABOUT WEBBER INTERNATIONAL: The Warriors are 1-1 in the spring season with a win over Southeastern University to their credit. Webber International, which competes in The Sun Conference at the NAIA level, ranked 26th in the NAIA national poll earlier this season.

ABOUT PALM BEACH ATLANTIC: Through four matches, the Sailfish carry a 1-3 record. Led by two singles wins apiece from Nicolas Uryson at No. 1 and Mark Heimberger at No. 3, Palm Beach Atlantic has faced a challenging schedule with losses to top Division II teams, fourth-ranked Lynn and ninth-ranked Rollins.

ABOUT BETHUNE-COOKMAN: Members of Division I and the MEAC, Bethune-Cookman is searching for its first win with a 0-7 record. Last time out, the Wildcats lost at home to Georgia Southern, 5-2.

ABOUT CONCORDIA MOORHEAD: The Cobbers are 0-3 on the season with losses to Hamline, St. Cloud St. and St. Scholastica in the spring. First-year Head Coach Steve Futchko is shaping a team comprised of only freshman and sophomores.

ABOUT DAVENPORT: The Panthers had won five in a row to open the season but have lost two-consecutive matches entering the week of action. With eight wins apiece in singles action, Matheus Carvalho and JP van Antwerpen lead Davenport in victories.

SERIES VS. THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS: The Mount's matches versus Webber International and Palm Beach Atlantic will be the first in program history. The Mountaineers are 0-4 versus Bethune-Cookman, most recently falling, 7-0, in 2012. The Mount puts its undefeated records versus Concordia Moorhead and Davenport on the line this week, having beaten Concordia three times and Davenport twice.

UP NEXT: After returning from spring break, the Mount heads to Annapolis, Md. to take on Navy on March 9 at noon.
