FINAL BRACKETS

Emmitsburg, Md. (October 5, 2014) – On the final day of the Mount St. Mary's Invitational on Sunday, the Mount women's tennis team notched a pair of doubles victories to conclude a strong weekend.

The Mount's duo of sisters Kelly and Jennifer Smith picked up an 8-2 win against Madison Parks and Stuart Lemay from Dickinson in the Flight A consolation semifinals before falling in the consolation finals to a doubles team from Bucknell.

Also earning a victory on the day was the tandem of Erin Benefiel and Danielle Nguyen. In the Flight B semifinals, Benefiel and Nguyen were 8-4 winners over Bucknell's Allison Lane and Melissa Parks. The win propelled the duo into the finals where they fell just short by an 8-5 margin against Ania Krawiec and Amanda Lanciano from Loyola.

Next up, the Mount plays a home match versus Towson on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m.
