MOUNT ST. MARY'S (1-1) vs. LA SALLE (2-0)
Saturday, Oct. 11 | 12 p.m.
Mount Tennis Courts | Emmitsburg, Md.

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount women's tennis team will look to bounce back from a 6-1 loss to Towson with Saturday's home match versus La Salle. Freshman Cassandra Powell has posted a team-high four singles wins and has paired with her classmate, Sruthi Kamprath, for a team-best five doubles victories.

LAST TIME OUT: The Mount jumped out to a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point versus Towson on Oct. 8, but was not able to hold on as the Tigers countered with wins in the six singles matches to hand the Mount a 6-1 loss. In doubles play, freshmen Sruthi Kamprath and Cassandra Powell notched a No. 2 win, while Erin Benefiel and Danielle Nguyen also added a doubles win at No. 3.

ABOUT LA SALLE: The Explorers opened the fall season at the Saint Joseph's Invitational before defeating Gwynedd Mercy and Monmouth in dual matches. La Salle, which is coming off a 2-9 record in 2013-14, has already matched last year's win total.

LAST SEASON VS. LA SALLE: The Mountaineers rolled past La Salle last fall in a 6-1 victory on Oct. 5, 2013. Kelly Smith (No. 3), Taylor D'Agostino (No. 4) and Erin Benefiel (No. 6) all picked up singles wins on the day.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. LA SALLE: The Mount leads the all-time series, 1-0, with last fall's matchup marking the first meeting between the two sides.

UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's will host a pair of matches at the Mount Tennis Courts next weekend, welcoming Monmouth on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. and Rider on Sunday, Oct. 19, at noon.
