Kristen Galligan and Stephanie Borland Each Finish in Top Four at Father Bede Invitational

Kristen Galligan and Stephanie Borland each finished in the top four to pace the Mount St. Mary's cross country teams at the Father Bede Invitational on Saturday afternoon.   The men's team was paced by Jesse Langton's 18th-place finish.  The meet, held at the site of this year's Northeast Conference Championships, featured all nine NEC schools.

Galligan finished in third place with Borland posting a fourth-place mark at the meet.  Galligan traversed the course in a time of 19:06 while Borland had a time of 19:39.  Constance Kniesler, Stephanie Joson and Maria Borland rounded out the Mount's top five.

Sacred Heart won the meet, followed by Bryant, Robert Morris, Central Connecticut State, Fairleigh Dickinson, Wagner, the Mount, Saint Francis University, Saint Francis Brooklyn, and Pitt-Johnstown.

Langton had a time of 28:23 for the eight-kilometer course to finish in 18th place overall for the Mount men.  Shane Holcomb finished 27th with a mark of 28:52 with Chris Jewell posting a 29th-place time of 28:55.  Jesse Albright and Kody Wilson rounded out the Mount's top five to help the team finish in a tie for sixth place.

Central Connecticut State won the meet, followed by Robert Morris, Saint Francis University, Wagner, Juniata, the Mount and Bryant, Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson.
