Mount St. Mary's Completes First Day of George Mason Invitational

Fairfax, Va. (September 21, 2013) -- The Mount men's tennis team ran into a tough George Mason squad in the opening day of the George Mason Invitational on Saturday.

The Patriots were able to take the three doubles matches on the day as well as seven singles matches from the Mount, which is competing for the second time this fall.

Sophomore Austin Blake paired up with freshman Darren Mast, who was making his collegiate debut, to play a highly-contested No. 2 doubles match against Jimmy Davis and Tanner Baine. The Blake/Mast combination held on until the end in an 8-6 defeat.
