Newark, Del. (March 24, 2013)-- The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team lost a 5-0 decision to Delaware on Sunday night. The Blue Hens won all five matches in a shortened match due to limited available courts.
The doubles duo of Jenny Smith and Liz Rossi lost the only doubles match against Christina Harrington and Nataliya Naumova; 7-5, 6-1.
In singles action, the Blue Hens won all four matches to sweep the Mount. Kelly Conroy lost in straight sets; 6-0, 6-2 to Danea Jonjic at No. 1. Sam Pinchoff and Renee Deane each lost 6-1, 6-0; and 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Carly Landini took Olivia Heim to three sets at No. 4 singles, losing 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.
The Mount women return to action this Wednesday when they travel to Bucknell. The match with the Bison begins at 3:00 PM in Lewisburg, Pa.
