Emmitsburg, Md. (March 14, 2013)-- The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Bryant Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon at the MSM Tennis Courts. 

Bryant took all three doubles matches to take the doubles point, and an early 1-0 lead. Liz Rossi and Jenny Smith had the closest match, losing to Devlin-Ann Ammendola and Jovana Hadzi-Tanovic 8-7 (9-7) at the No. 3 spot.

The Mount got two points at the No. 1 and No. 3 singles spots from seniors Kelly Conroy and Carly Landini respectively. Conroy defeated Rosie Bird 6-3, 7-6 (7-2). Landini displaced Stephanie Smyers at the No. 3 position in a close match, winning 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. 

The Mount returns to action Tuesday March 19. The Mountaineers will face Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. The match begins at 3:00 PM.
