Women's Tennis Welcomes Bryant to Emmitsburg on Thursday

Opening Serve: The Mount women's tennis team heads into the match with Bryant with a 5-3 overall record, and a 1-0 conference record. The women breezed by Wagner in their last match 7-0. The team won all three doubles and all six singles matches to earn the victory.

About the Bulldogs: Bryant comes into the match with the Mountaineers at 6-3 overall, and 1-0 in Northeast Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 6-0 loss to Stony Brook on Sunday under rally scoring rules. Bryant dropped all six singles matches en route to the loss. This will be the first time the Mount and Bryant faced each other in school history. 

Same Old, Same Old: The Mount returns all but one starter from last year. The starting five all return from last year, minus Lauren Clark (Colt's Neck, NJ/ Red Bank Catholic).  The team features a slew of veteran experience, with five upperclassmen. The team is spear headed by seniors Kelly Conroy (Tallahassee, Fla./ John Paul II),Renee Deane (Cape Coral, Fla./ Cape Coral), and Carly Landini (Newark, Del./ Archmere Academy).

Dynamic Duo: The duo of juniors Sam Pinchoff (Sylvan Lake, Mich./ West Bloomfield) and Liz Rossi (Flanders, NY/ Bishop McGann-Mercy) helped the Mount to their 12-8 record last year. Pinchoff played No.1 singles and finished up with 9-13 record, and Rossi posted an 11-7 record in the No. 5 spot.  

Up Next: The Mount will head to Robert Morris for three matches in two days. They will face the Colonials and St. Francis U on Saturday, then they take on St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday.
