Emmitsburg, Md. (March 11, 2013)-- The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team breezed past the Wagner Seahawks on Monday afternoon, 7-0. The Mount won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches en route to the victory.

Kelly Conroy and Samantha Pinchoff got the scoring started with a 8-1 victory at the No. 1 singles spot over Wagner's Nicole Vukov and Julia Teichman. Renee Deane and Carly Landini followed up with an 8-2 win over Nikki Arnold and Rachel Jurgielewicz at the No. 2 spot. Finally, junior Liz Rossi and sophomore Jenny Smith knocked off Jenna Harris and Lauren Hauer at the No. 3 spot, 8-1 to complete the sweep and earn the doubles point.

In singles action, the Mount won all six matches in straight sets. Conroy defeated Vukov 6-1, 6-1 and Rossi downed Harris by the same score at No. 1 and 5 respectively. Pinchoff was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Nikki Arnold at No. 2, and Landini knocked off Teichman 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 4 slot. Jenny Smith was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at the No. 6 spot over Hauer, and Renee Deane capped the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Jurgielewicz in the No. 3 position. 

The Mount women return to action when they host the Bryant Bulldogs on Thursday, March 14. First serve is at 3:00 PM.
