ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON: The Colonials (4-2) enter Wednesday's game on a three-game winning streak. GW is 1-0 on the road this season with a 22-7 win over Howard on Feb. 13. On March 7, the Colonials took down Holy Cross, 11-9, thanks to four goals from Nicole Lacey. Lacey leads the team with 14 goals on the season.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mount is 3-8 against the Colonials in the all-time series. The Mountaineers won the first two meetings in 2002 and 2003 before GW won six in a row. In 2010, the Mount won a double overtime thriller, 15-14, on the road. The past two seasons, however, the Colonials have gotten the better of the Mount with 15-8 and 16-8 victories.

LAST TIME WE MET: On March 19, 2012, the Mount took an early 2-1 lead over George Washington on the road. The Colonials bounced back with six of the next seven goals for a 7-3 halftime lead. In the second half, GW outscored the Mount, 9-5, to come away with a 16-8 victory. Seipp, Kaitlyn Larrimore and Aubrey Rubino each scored two goals for the Mount on the day.

CLEARS: The Mount has gone a perfect 8-for-8 on clears in each of the last two games against Delaware State and Villanova.

DIAZ LEADING: Junior Lindsay Diaz has scored a goal in five of the Mount's six games, including at least one in each of the past four. For her career, Diaz has notched at least two goals in a game on seven occasions.

MOUNT HISTORY BOOKS: Diaz had 73 career draw controls entering the season, which placed her 13th all-time in Mount history. Through six games in 2013, she has a team-best 13. Her 86 career draw controls place her 11th on the Mount's career list.

LARRIMORE ON TRACK: Kaitlyn Larrimore, the team's leading goal scorer in 2012, ranks second on the team with six goals this season. Like Diaz, Larrimore has tallied at least one goal in five of the Mount's six games. The senior has 14 multi-goal games in her career.

GROUND BALLS:  Mount St. Mary's leads the NEC with 103 ground balls, and the team average of 16.83 per game is third in the conference.

Leder has started all six games for the Mountaineers between the pipes. She has stopped a Northeast Conference best 47 shots and ranks first among NEC goalkeepers with a .475 save percentage.

PRESEASON POLL: Mount St. Mary's has been picked to finish third, according to the Northeast Conference Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll.  Monmouth, the defending NEC Tournament champions, has been tabbed as the preseason favorite while Quinnipiac picked up the final two first-place nods to place second in the poll. It will be the last year in the league for the Hawks and Bobcats with both programs slated to move to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2014. The Mount finished third in the poll and was followed by Central Connecticut State, Robert Morris, Sacred Heart, Bryant, Wagner, Saint Francis U and LIU Brooklyn.
