MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount men's tennis team will look to end the fall on a high note with its season finale on Saturday, Oct. 19, on the road at Rider. The match at Rider will be the third for the Mount this fall. In eight all-time meetings with the Broncs, the Mount is a perfect 8-0.
LAST TIME OUT: The Mount fell one singles win short of defeating La Salle on the road on Oct. 5. In the 4-3 loss to the Explorers, sophomore Peter Salomon won both of his matches for the Mount. Salomon paired with Louis Tonon for a No. 1 doubles win, then took down Joseph LaBate in three sets at No. 2 singles. In the match, Mike Zabetakis and Austin Blake teamed up for a No. 2 doubles win and freshman Darren Mast was a straight-set winner at the No. 4 singles slot.
ABOUT RIDER: So far this season, Rider has a 1-10 dual match record, with a win against Rutgers Camden by a score of 5-2. The doubles pairing of Sean Sweeney and Kyle Stratton leads the team with two wins as a tandem.
LAST TIME VS. RIDER: The Mount made quick work of the Broncs with three doubles wins and straight-set wins in all six singles matches in a 7-0 victory last fall at the Mount Tennis Courts.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH RIDER: The Mount is undefeated in eight all-time matches versus Rider dating back to 1992. Saturday's match will mark the fourth year in a row that the Mount and Rider have squared off.

COACHING STAFF: Head Coach Phil Hammond is entering his 10th season at the helm for the Mount. In his first nine seasons, Hammond has built both the men's and women's programs into perennial contenders in the Northeast Conference. On the women's side, Hammond's coaching record is 118-83, while putting together an 88-104 mark with the men's team. His assistants are sixth-year coach Bill Holloway and the Mount's all-time leader for singles wins, Mike Salomon, who graduated from the Mount in 2013.
UP NEXT: The Mount will look to make another deep run in the NEC Tournament this spring.
