Women's Tennis Travels to Face the Eagles on Wednesday

Mount St. Mary's (8-6, 2-1 NEC) vs. Coppin State

Wednesday April 4 * 3:00 PM

Baltimore, Md.

Mount Update: The women are coming off a 5-2 loss to George Mason on March 23. The lone Mount points came from the reigning NEC Co-Player of the Week Kelly Conroy. Conroy downed her opponent in a three set thriller, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). Sophomore Liz Rossi also won at the No. 5 spot, winning 6-3, 6-2.

About The Eagles: Coppin State is coming off a 7-0 loss to conference foe Savannah State on Monday. The Eagles dropped all their matches, en route to the loss.

The Last Time We Met: The Mount won 7-0 over the Eagles last year in Emmitsburg. The Mountaineers won all three doubles matches 8-0, and all singles matches with 6-0, 6-0 scores.

The All-Time Series: The Mount holds a 12-1 advantage over the Eagles, with the only Mount loss coming back in 2006. The Mount has won every match since then by a score of 7-0.

Conroy Serving Aces: Junior Kelly Conroy has been on a tear this season, with a 22-3 overall record, not losing a dual match since the UDC match back in September. Conroy was recently named NEC Co-Player of the Week this past week. She is only three wins away from breaking former teammate Emily Bolchoz's single season wins record. Bolchoz holds the current record with a 24-8 mark back in the 2007-08 season.

Up Next: The Mount returns home to face Delaware on April 10. Match begins at 1:00 PM
