West Windsor, N.J. (April 20, 2012)--Fourth-seeded Mount St. Mary's defeated fifth-seeded Sacred Heart, 4-2, in the Northeast Conference Quarterfinals held at the Mercer County Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

Matthew Blake, Mike Salomon and Taylor Place each posted singles wins to clinch the Mount victory.  Blake rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles over Chadd Sullo.  Salomon won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, over Logan Mohring at No. 4 singles with Place earning a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win at the No. 5 spot.

The Mount won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point.  Blake and Place cruised to an 8-3 win at No. 1 while Mike Zabetakis and Patrick McGinley won 8-6 at the No. 3 position.

Mount St. Mary's will face top-seeded Fairleigh Dickinson at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
