Emmitsburg, Md. (March 23, 2012)-- The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team lost to George Mason on Friday afternoon. The Patriots took the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead, and never looked back. They would win four of the six singles matches to earn a 5-2 victory over the Mount on Friday.

The doubles team of Samantha Pinchoff and Kelly Conroy won at the No. 1 doubles spot. The tandem defeated Alison Wingo and Ashley Delaney 8-1. 

In singles action, the Mount won at the No. 2 and 5 spot by Conroy and Liz Rossi respectively. Conroy downed Ashley Delaney in a three set thriller, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). Rossi earned the other victory for the Mount, defeating Sara Novakovic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. 

The next match for the women is against Bucknell on Saturday, March 31. The match will be the continuation of the match that was postponed on Tuesday, due to the rain. The match is set to start at 10:00 AM.
