Senior Kelly Conroy Leads Women's Tennis Against Rider on Sunday

Opening Serve: The Mount women will Rider on Sunday afternoon.  The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM at the MSM Tennis Courts.

Quick Hits on Towson: The Mount women are coming off a 5-2 loss against in state rival Towson on October 4. Seniors Carly Landini and Kelly Conroy provided the lone Mount points. Landini won at No. 4 singles 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 while Conroy won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2.

About the Broncs: Rider is coming off a 7-0 loss at the hands of Marist on Thursday. Marist won all three doubles and all six singles matches to win.  

Last Year Against Rider: Last year, the Mount defeated Rider 7-0. The Mount won all six singles and all three doubles matches en route to the 7-0 victory.

Same Old, Same Old: The Mount returns all but one starter from last year. The starting five all return from last year, minus Lauren Clark (Colt's Neck, NJ/ Red Bank Catholic).  The team features a slew of veteran experience, with five upperclassmen. The team is spear headed by seniors Kelly Conroy (Tallahassee, Fla./ John Paul II), Renee Deane (Cape Coral, Fla./ Cape Coral), and Carly Landini (Newark, Del./ Archmere Academy).

Dynamic Duo: The duo of juniors Sam Pinchoff (Sylvan Lake, Mich./ West Bloomfield) and Liz Rossi (Flanders, NY/ Bishop McGann-Mercy) helped the Mount to their 12-8 record last year. Pinchoff played No.1 singles and finished up with 9-13 record, and Rossi posted an 11-7 record in the No. 5 spot.  

Up Next: The match with Rider concludes the fall portion of the season.
