Box Score

Emmitsburg, Md. (September 27, 2011)--Senior Alicia Miller (Warwick, Pa./Lititz) made seven saves to help the Mount St. Mary's women's soccer team to a 0-0 draw with visiting Bucknell on Tuesday afternoon at Waldron Family Stadium on campus.

Bucknell (2-6-1) held a 19-to-5 advantage in shots in the game, including a 5-0 edge in the overtime periods.

Miller made a pair of diving saves in the game to keep the Bison off the scoreboard.  With just under 10 minutes left in the first half, Miller made a diving stop to her left on a Brigit Falcon shot.  The rebound went to Chelsey Garkowski, but her shot was stopped by a Mount defender on the goal line.

Bucknell's Liz Dwornik found herself alone from about 12 yards out with just under 29 minutes left, but Miller made a diving stop, deflecting the shot just high, to keep the game scoreless.

The Mount's (2-4-2) best scoring chance came early in the second half when Alicia Mirando (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) had a clear lane to the goal, but sent her shot wide left.

It was Miller's ninth career shutout, moving her one behind Anna Lebo's school record of 10.  She now has a 1.15 goals against average and a .846 save percentage on the season.
