Emmitsburg, Md. (October 2, 2011)--Mount St. Mary's lost to Wagner, 1-0, in Northeast Conference women's soccer action on Sunday at Waldron Family Stadium on campus.

The Seahawks used a late first-half goal to secure the victory.  Julie Vigliotti collected a pass to the middle from Syndey McCarthy, and beat Mount keeper Alicia Miller to the lower left for the only goal of the contest.

The Mount's best scoring chance came midway through the first half when Kelly Baker sent a shot wide of the net.

Wagner held an 11-to-5 advantage in shots in the game, including a 4-to-1 margin in the second half.

Miller made four saves in the game for the Mountaineers while Kate Marcy made three saves for the shutout victory.

The Mount returns to action on Friday, October 7, with a 7:00 p.m. game at Monmouth.
