Annapolis, Md. (September 18, 2010)--The Mount
St. Mary's men's and women's cross country teams competed at Navy
on Saturday afternoon. Dylan
Bernard was the men's top finisher while Megan
Kinsella paced the women's team.
The men's team, competing in the Navy Invitational, finished in
eighth place. Bernard finished the 8-kilometer course in a time of
26:08.17, just ahead of teammate Chris
Swisko, who had a time of 26:09.52. Freshman Matthew
Pacheco was the Mount's third-fastest finisher with a mark
of 26:39.20.
For the women's team at Navy's Salty Dog Invitational, Kinsella
was 31st overall with a time of 24:14.0 to help the
Mount to a ninth-place finish. Colleen
Smith was the Mount's second-fastest finisher at
24:31.2 while Stephanie
Joson (24:42.3) and Kathryn
Franke (24:46.0) rounded out the Mount's top four.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Friday, October 1, at the
Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.
