Bethlehem, Pa. (October 1, 2010)-The Mount St. Mary's cross country teams competed in the 37^th annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University today. The men's team placed 24^th in the Brown Race while the women's team finished 41^st in the Gold Race.

Junior Dylan Bernard (Frederick, Md./Urbana) paced the Mountaineer men by finishing 46^th overall in the field of 357 runners in the Brown Race. Bernard completed the eight-kilometer course with a time of 26:43. Sophomore Chris Swisko (Aberdeen, Md./Calvert Hall) was the Mount's next fastest finisher, finishing 79^th overall with a time of 26:43, while freshman Matt Pacheco (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) was 109^th with a mark of 26:56. Sean Caskey (Dundalk, Md./Calvert Hall) and Shane Holcomb (Peckville, Pa./Holy Cross) rounded out the Mount's top five.

Megan Kinsella (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) paced the women, finishing 169^th in the field of 336 runners, completing the six-kilometer course with a time of 22:47. The remainder of the Mount's top five were Colleen Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle), Stephanie Joson (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard), Kathryn Franke (Glen Arm, Md./Loch Raven) and Christina Praydis (Perry Hall, Md./The Catholic School of Baltimore).

The Mount returns to action on Saturday, October 16, at the Princeton Invitational.
