Bethlehem, Pa. (October 1, 2010)-The Mount St.
Mary's cross country teams competed in the 37th annual
Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University today.  The men's team
placed 24th in the Brown Race while the women's team
finished 41st in the Gold Race.
Junior Dylan
Bernard (Frederick, Md./Urbana) paced the Mountaineer
men by finishing 46th overall in the field of 357
runners in the Brown Race.  Bernard completed the eight-kilometer
course with a time of 26:43.  Sophomore Chris
Swisko (Aberdeen, Md./Calvert Hall) was the Mount's
next fastest finisher, finishing 79th overall with a
time of 26:43, while freshman Matt Pacheco (Clarksville,
Md./Atholton) was 109th with a mark of 26:56. 
Sean
Caskey (Dundalk, Md./Calvert Hall) and Shane
Holcomb (Peckville, Pa./Holy Cross) rounded out the
Mount's top five.
Megan
Kinsella (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic)
paced the women, finishing 169th in the field of 336
runners, completing the six-kilometer course with a time of 22:47. 
The remainder of the Mount's top five were Colleen
Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle), Stephanie
Joson (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard), Kathryn
Franke (Glen Arm, Md./Loch Raven) and Christina
Praydis (Perry Hall, Md./The Catholic School of
Baltimore).
The Mount returns to action on Saturday, October 16, at the
Princeton Invitational.
