Emily Bolchoz Notches Fourth Career Northeast Conference Player of the Week Award

Mount St. Mary's junior Emily Bolchoz (Tequesta, Fla./Kolbe Academy) was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week after an undefeated weekend at the Towson Tiger 4+1 Classic to open the 2009-10 season. It is the fourth time in her career that she has been named NEC Player of the Week.

Bolchoz, who has been named the NEC Player of the Week for the first week of the season in each of the past three years, was 2-0 at the No. 2 singles spot for the Mount at the Towson Tiger 4+1 Classic. She had victories over George Mason's Alison Wingo and Loyola's Carrie Swann to improve to 41-17 in her career in singles matches at the Mount. She also teamed with NEC Rookie of the Week Renee Deane (Cape Coral, Fla./Cape Coral) for a straight-set win at No. 1 doubles in the Mount's victory over Saint Joseph's.
