West Windsor, N.J. (April 17, 2009)--Mount St. Mary's lost to Quinnipiac, 4-0, in the Northeast Conference Tournament quarterfinals at the Mercer County Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. The Mount (3-17) will face Saint Francis (Pa.) on Saturday in a consolation match.

The Bobcats won the doubles point to open the match. John Hughes and Charlie Feldman downed Favio Osorio and Thad Mostowtt, 8-1, at the No. 2 doubles spot while Joe Nuarra and Tom Curran topped Sam Walton and Jastin Mostowtt, 8-0, at No. 3 doubles. The No. 1 doubles match was not finished.

In singles play, Hughes defeated Osorio, 6-0, 6-2, at the No. 1 singles spot while Brian Mikkelson downed Andrew Marinucci, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2 singles. Feldman defeated Walton, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5 singles to seal the win. The other three singles matches were not finished.
