The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team lost to Ohio Northern, 6-3,
on Thursday in Orlando, Fla. The Mount women dropped a 9-0
decision to Nova Southeastern last night.
In the men's match, the Mount won at the top three singles
positions, but fell by the score of 6-3. Favio Osorio earned a
6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 1 singles spot while Patrick Plastow earned
a straight-set win at No. 2 singles. Thad Mostowtt downed Chris
Dohner, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 3 singles for the Mountaineers.
Ohio Northern won the remaining three
singles matches and all three doubles matches to earn the
victory.
On the women's side, the Mount fell to
Nova Southeaster, 9-0, on Wednesday night. Chelsea Johnson lost a
tough three-set match to Edita Kulikova, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, at the No.
2 singles spot for the Mount.
