Orlando, Fla. (March 4, 2009)--Mount St. Mary's
men's tennis lost a pair of matches on its spring trip to Florida.
On Tuesday, the Mount lost to Walsh University, 7-2, before
dropping a 7-0 decision to Martin Methodist on Wednesday.
In the loss to Walsh, Favio Osorio was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 1
singles over Garry Innes. Patrick Plastow edged Jon Esber, 3-6,
6-4, 10-8, at the No. 3 singles spot for the Mount's other
point.
In Wednesday's loss to Martin Methodist, Plastow lost a hard-fought
6-4, 4-6, 6-4 decision to Fabio Santo at the No. 3 singles spot.
Thad Mostowtt fell to Renato Castro, 6-7, 6-1, 10-3, at No. 4
singles for the Mountaineers.
