EMMITSBURG,
Md. The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team swept Coppin
State 7-0 in non-conference women's tennis action on Wednesday.
Emily
Bolchoz (Tequesta, Fla./Kolbe Academy) and Emma Haley (Tiffin,
Ohio/Calvert) got the Mount started with a win at No. 1 doubles
against Anna Sebescen and Nena Sebescen, 8-1. Kaitlin Hallahan
(Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast) and Chelsea Johnson (Downingtown,
Pa./21st Century Cyber School) took No. 2 doubles over Mary-Ann
Dogo-Isanagze and Sharisse Coppin 8-1 while Emily Grugan
(Wilmington, Del./Padua Academy) and Lauren Clark (Colts Neck,
N.J./Red Bank Catholic) completed the doubles sweep with a win by
default.
Bolchoz
defeated Anna Sebescen at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2. Johnson was given
the best fight from the Eagles at No. 2 singles after winning the
first set 7-6 and the second set 6-3 against Nina Sebescen.
Hallahan won at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-1 against Dogo-Isanagze and
Haley downed Coppin 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Grugan took Andin
Gang 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles while Alissa Thayer (Finksburg,
Md./Westminster) nabbed a win by default at No. 6
singles.
Mount St.
Mary's returns to the court on Saturday at home against Delaware.
