Women's Tennis Ends Season with 4-0 Loss to Top Seeded Quinnipiac in NEC Semifinals

The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team lost to top-seeded Quinnipiac, 4-0, in the semifinals of the Northeast Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. The Mount closes out the 2007-08 season with a 19-10 record, setting a new school mark for wins in a season.

Mary Wilson and Adrienne Markison earned an 8-4 win over Emma Haley and Emily Bolchoz at the No. 1 doubles spot while Jackie Herb and Amanda Petruzzi were 8-3 winners over Chelsea Johnson and Kaitlin Hallahan at No. 2 doubles to seal the doubles point for the Bobcats.

In singles action, Wilson defeated Hallahan, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1 singles. Petruzzi was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Haley at No. 4 singles and Lisanne Steinert earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Emily Grugan at No. 5 singles.
