Emmitsburg, Md. (October 5, 2008)--The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team rounded out action at the Mount St. Mary's Invitational today at the MSM Tennis Courts.

Junior Thad Mostowtt (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) paced the Mount by winning the consolation round in Flight B Singles. Mostowtt defeated Dave Pinto (Robert Morris), 6-3, 7-5, in the consolation final.

In Flight A singles, Andrew Marinucci (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) outlasted teammate Patrick Plastow (Dushore, Pa./Pennsylvania Home School), 6-7 (12-10), 6-4, 13-11, in the seventh place match in Flight A singles.

At Flight C singles, the Mount's Jastin Mostowtt (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) lost to Matt Vaughn of George Mason, 6-1, 6-0, in the consolation final.

In doubles action, the Mount's tandem of Marinucci and Plastow lost a pair of matches in Flight A doubles. In the semifinal round, the duo lost to Brian Fitzgerald and Daniel Schneider, 8-1, before losing to Keyan Sanai and Pierce Norton, 8-4, in the third-place match.

In Flight B Doubles, the Mount's tandem of Sam Walton (Catonsville, Md./Cardinal Gibbon) and Jastin Mostowtt downed Reilly Gates (Ellicott City, Md./Mount St. Joseph) and Herschel Waites (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph).
